Most Scan Matched

Most Scan Matched is the highest confluence view on the platform. It shows the stocks that show up under three or more other technical scanners at the same time. When several independent signals all cluster on the same stock, that is worth your attention.

The Most Scan Matched scanner ranking companies by the number of technical scans they match

What it is

The scanner tracks which technical signals each company is currently triggering. When a stock appears in three or more distinct technical scans at once, it lands on the Most Scan Matched list.

The idea is confluence. A single signal can be a coincidence. A stock can fire for one reason that turns out to be noise. But when a momentum signal, a breakout signal, and a relative strength signal all line up on the same stock at the same time, the odds that something real is happening go up. Different scanners measure different things. When they agree, the agreement itself is the signal.

The exact rule

A company qualifies when it triggers at least three different technical scanner types in the current signal window. It is a derived view, not a brand new detector. It watches the other technical scanners and reports which companies are in several of them at once.

The more scans a company matches, the higher it sits in the list. A stock matching five scans outranks one matching three, because more independent signals agree about it.

How it is different from a single scan

The single technical scanners answer specific questions. Which stocks broke out? Which hit a 52-week high? Which crossed an RS threshold?

Most Scan Matched answers a different question. Which stocks are doing several of those things at once? It is the only scanner whose whole reason for existing is the overlap between the others.

This makes it a great first place to look. It automatically does the filtering work of combining signals, which is a step you would otherwise do by hand across multiple lists.

Why it matters

You want your research time on the highest conviction names. Most Scan Matched is a shortlist of names where the market is pointing hard in one direction across several independent measures.

A stock in Stage 2, at a new 52 week high, with a high and rising RS rating, is a much stronger setup than a stock firing just one of those. Most Scan Matched surfaces exactly these names for you without making you line up the lists yourself.
