Growth thesis

Aurionpro Solutions is a product-led Indian technology company earning revenue from two engines: banking and fintech software covering transaction banking, trade finance, lending and payments, and a technology innovation group spanning smart transit systems, data center design-and-build services and enterprise AI. It operates as a decentralized group of roughly 13 to 14 mostly product P&Ls, sells mission-critical core process software to banks on 10 to 15 year horizons, and reports win rates north of 50 percent in transaction banking new wins over the past two to three years, which management says no competitor has matched since it rebuilt its stack three years ago. Fiscal 2026 revenue was 1,411 crore rupees, up 20.2 percent, with EBITDA margin of 20.02 percent and PAT margin of 15.02 percent, inside its guided 20 to 21 percent and 15 to 16 percent bands but at the lower end. For a software-weighted model those margins are solid rather than exceptional, and the fact they held through a year of heavy product investment indicates genuine underlying economics rather than pass-through revenue.

The economics persist through structural barriers rather than scale. Banks replace core process software rarely, regulation creates inertia, and recurring plus near-recurring revenue sits around 55 percent of the business, with five-year term licenses charged upfront creating renewal recurrence at roughly 20 percent of the base annually. In transit, the company owns IP at every point of the value chain plus Make-in-India hardware capability, allowing end-to-end Indian deals that carry materially better contribution margins than point-provider roles in global consortia. Its Orion-MSP tabular foundation model is claimed number one or number two globally on benchmarks, and the data center arm is a capital-light pure services business consuming very little capital, producing exceptionally high returns even at lower margins. These are qualification, integration and replication barriers; this is not a commoditized body-shop.

The inflection rests on converting an order book exceeding 1,800 crore rupees entering fiscal 2027, of which 68 to 72 percent is executable within twelve months, implying roughly 1,250 to 1,300 crore of near-term convertible demand against fiscal 2026 revenue of 1,411 crore. Deal sizes have stepped up sharply: a 350 crore hyperscaler data center mandate alongside 250, 150 and 100 crore transactions, versus about 100 crore per year previously. Data center, currently about a third of the technology group, should reach roughly 40 percent of it by year end, with growth accelerating above its 40 to 50 percent trajectory into a 50 to 100 percent band depending on capacity ramp pace. The Q1 fiscal 2027 reality check was harsh: revenue of 358 crore rupees grew just 6.3 percent with EBITDA at 17 percent, because Middle East banking contribution fell to zero, the 350 crore deal's revenue slipped from Q4 fiscal 2026 into Q1, and engineering capacity was diverted to the AI-native rebuild. Management expects a TIG pickup in Q2, a much more significant acceleration in Q3 and Q4, full Middle East normalization after Q3, and banking margin recovery as AI-native products complete over the next one to two quarters. Eighteen to twenty-four months out, the mix tilts slightly toward TIG, data center margins remain four to five points below enterprise levels, and software operating leverage builds from a frozen headcount.

The walk-talk record is mixed. In February 2026 management guided roughly 30 percent-type growth and delivered 26 percent over nine months, and promised positive full-year operating cash flow, but Q4 fiscal 2026 fell more than 100 crore short of plan after front-ended investments, and the hyperscaler deal slipped a quarter. For fiscal 2027 management declined any numeric guidance citing Middle East uncertainty, committing only to grow meaningfully ahead of industry rates. Capital allocation is aggressive but internally funded: development spend of 150 to 200 crore rupees over four quarters at 10.5 to 11 percent of revenue, capitalized intangibles rising from roughly 20 to 30 crore to about 200 crore, working capital absorption of 200 to 250 crore annually, covered by cash of roughly 250 to 300 crore with no material debt increase and no acquisitions planned for the next few quarters.

The earnings path holds only if the second half of fiscal 2027 delivers: data center conversion accelerating through Q2 to Q4, banking go-lives resuming as build-outs complete, and Middle East wins closing. Management has made the H2-acceleration promise every year for five years and proved right four times, failing last year. The single falsifier is the timing of project go-lives and hyperscaler milestones: very large projects run longer than the typical 12-month conversion cycle, so minor slippage from Q4 into Q1 is materially impactful, and if Q3 does not show the promised step-up, the front-loaded cost structure evident in the 17 percent Q1 EBITDA persists without revenue leverage. The tension between 6.3 percent growth and a record 23 new logos plus the largest-ever US order in the same quarter is operational, not structural: demand is arriving later than the spend funding it.

Why is Aurionpro Solutions Limited stock rising?

  • Entering FY27 with an order book exceeding ₹1,800 crore and a healthy pipeline across all segments
  • Rebuilding the Banking stack with Aurion AI, starting with a fully AI-native trade finance platform on agentic architecture; series of AI-native applications to follow across entire stack within next couple of quarters
  • Investing across full stack in transit (software, systems, hardware) to compete globally and become a meaningful global player over the next few years
  • Data center business reached an inflection; secured one of India's largest AI-focused data center mandates; becoming a partner of choice for hyperscalers in the AI era
  • Expanding into Europe (Fenixys growing strongly) and investing heavily in Southeast Asia to diversify geographies; targeting more diversification over next couple of quarters
